Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a curious first-timer, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we have a volunteer role for you. From harvesting vegetables and feeding livestock to helping with events or composting efforts, your time and talents directly support our mission.

Workshops That Root you In Purpose

Our team at Jacob’s Reward Farm offers hands-on workshops that help you build real-life skills in growing food, raising animals, composting, and more. Taught by our knowledgeable farm staff, these classes are designed to empower individuals and families to live more sustainably and connect deeply with their food, their land, and their community.

Gardening Workshops

Get your hands in the soil and learn both fundamental and advanced gardening techniques. Our farm grows a diverse range of produce—like radishes, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and green beans—giving you the chance to work with a variety of crops and expand your skill set.

Farm Animal Workshops

These are some of our most popular volunteer opportunities. You’ll work up close with our chickens and quail, learning how to feed, raise, and care for them through hands-on guidance. Whether you're new to animal care or have experience, there’s always something meaningful to gain from working alongside our animals.

Construction Workshops

There’s something incredibly fulfilling about building with your own two hands. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced builder, our construction workshops teach practical skills using both traditional farm techniques and creative, resourceful solutions. From coops to raised beds, you'll help build the essential structures that keep the farm running and growing.

Community Workshops

These workshops are our way of extending a helping hand beyond our own farm. During these special events, we partner with other local businesses and farms to help them tackle their workload and move their mission forward. By showing up for each other, we create a ripple effect of support, connection, and lasting change throughout our community.

Very lovely farm! I have a little homeschool group and Cindy was so gracious and kind. She took us on a tour of her farm. I had a really great experience, so did the children. It’s amazing she gives back to her community by donating produce and chicken to those in need. They are doing wonderful things here. I’d love to come back and volunteer some day.

If you're questioning whether or not you should volunteer here - DO IT! It was an awesome experience with awesome people. You will learn so much from Cindy and be able to apply that knowledge to your own life and your community. Not only is this experience educational, but it's so much fun. Cannot wait to come back! :)

We loved working in the Giving garden farm today. The farm is very well kept, Cindy and Lynne were amazing in giving us the farm tour and explaining how it serves the community. I love their passion to serve and would love to continue volunteering here.
