Growing Food for Our Community.

Teaching Others to Do the Same.

If you’ve ever suffered from chronic hunger, you know how frightening that can be, especially if you have children in your care, and you know the desperation that can rule your life as a result.

Have you wondered how you can make a difference for hungry people?
This is your opportunity.

The Giving Garden at Jacob’s Reward Farm is a faith-based non-profit organization growing healthy produce and meat, and providing it to food pantries in our area. We are powered by the hard work of volunteers and the gifts of generous donors.

How You Can Participate:
Become a Member of the Farm

We have so much fun when we come together and make a difference, and we'd love it if you could join us! Members support the charitable work of the Garden through a yearly donation of $300. They make our mission possible: to feed our food-insecure neighbors. Members are invited to participate in educational opportunities and become part of a supportive community. Members are always welcome to join us for our regular Saturday workdays, where we accomplish special projects, keep up with regular garden maintenance, and enjoy some fresh vegetables! Members also get special perks like a Garden t-shirt and an invitation to our fall Harvest Dinner, prepared by Chef Sara!

How You Can Participate:
Volunteer at the Farm

Volunteering at the Garden is a great way to get actively involved and make a difference! Every Saturday, volunteers assist us with our gardening and animal care tasks - the hours you help may vary depending on the season. There are plenty of opportunities for volunteers to learn gardening skills, as well as how to properly care for the animals. If you're interested in volunteering, please click here to access our Sign Up Genius Volunteer Schedule to see the dates, times and tasks we have available each week. From there you can print out and sign this form and bring it with you when you come. We appreciate your time and hard work!

Volunteers must be adults 18 or older, or children 12 and over with adult supervision. We welcome groups, service organizations, Boy Scouts, FFA groups, and others who would like to earn service hours. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets. Contact us for more information.

Our Gift to You:
Learn New Skills to Take Home

We’d like to encourage you to try gardening yourself! Whether you have a large yard or an apartment balcony, let us teach you how to grow some of your own food! Watch for our schedule of workshops, and for our free resources for taking a little more control of your food choices.
